Following the success of the International Conference on Building Materials 2019 (ICBM 2019), in 2024, under the auspices of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, the Vietnam Institute for Building Materials (VIBM) will continue to organize the International Conference on Building Materials (ICBM 2024) from October 31 to November 3, 2024, in Hanoi. With the theme “Building Materials in the 21st Century”, ICBM 2024 will serve as an international scientific forum to promote the exchange of global building science achievements, all towards a future of sustainable development.
Over the past 23 years of the 21st century, Vietnam has become one of the largest producers of building materials in the world. With a “green” development orientation, the production of building materials must also be associated with the application of science and technology to reduce the use of natural minerals, maximize the use of industrial by-products, save energy, protect the environment, and create sustainable, eco-friendly building materials products that adapt to climate change.
In response to this development trend, as a pioneering unit in the building materials sector, VIBM is organizing the International Conference on Building Materials (ICBM 2024) with the theme “Building Materials in the 21st Century” from October 31 to November 3, 2024, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi. The conference aims not only to enhance exchanges and cooperation among stakeholders but also to focus on discussing action programs towards the sustainable development of the building materials industry in particular and the construction industry in general.
The main topics of the conference include: cement, concrete, refractory materials, paint, construction glass, building materials for transportation infrastructure, product quality testing methods, environmental protection, and waste recycling in the building materials industry.
ICBM 2024 will be a forum for researchers, scholars, experts, and policymakers from both Vietnam and around the world to share research results, experiences, new perspectives, and explore the latest scientific and technological advancements applied in the building materials industry.
