Journal of Materials and Construction has been awarded a higher scientific score in 2025

On July 11, 2025, the State Council for Professorship issued Decision No. 26/QĐ-HĐGSNN approving the list of scientific journals eligible for scoring in 2025. Accordingly, two publications of Vietnam Institute for Building Materials (VIBM)-Tạp chí Vật liệu và Xây dựng (ISSN 1859-381X) and the Journal of Materials and Construction (ISSN 2734-9438)-have been awarded higher scores by the Transport Engineering Council (0–0.75 points), and continue to maintain high evaluation ranges from the interdisciplinary councils in Construction – Architecture (0–0.75, 0–1 points), Water Resources (0–0.75 points), and Chemistry – Food Technology (0–0.5 points).

This is a well-deserved recognition of the continuous efforts by VIBM in general, and the Editorial Board of the Journal in particular, in enhancing academic quality, improving editorial processes, and gradually aligning with international publishing standards.

Towards Scopus Standards – Supporting the Scientific Community

Currently, the Editorial Board is actively implementing a roadmap to enhance content quality, build a reputable pool of peer reviewers, standardize the publishing process, and establish appropriate academic criteria-with the goal of having the Journal indexed in the international Scopus database in the near future.
